DESCRIPTION:The Eswatini Qualifications Authority (EQA) is participating i
 n the Forum of CEOs of Qualifications Authorities of Member States of the 
 Southern African Development Community (SADC)\, taking place from 23–25 
 September 2026 at the Savoy Hotel and Spa in Beau Vallon\, Mahé\, Seychel
 les.\n\nThe Forum is hosted by the Seychelles Qualifications Authority (SQ
 A) and brings together Chief Executives and senior representatives of qual
 ifications authorities from across the SADC Region. The Forum is being hel
 d under the theme:\n\n“Advancing Trust and Comparability in Qualificatio
 ns and Qualifications Frameworks in the SADC Region.”\n\nFocus on Recogn
 ition of Prior Learning and Regional Referencing\n\nThe first day of the F
 orum focused on Innovation in Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Regi
 onal Referencing. Discussions addressed emerging approaches to RPL\, exper
 iences in referencing national qualifications frameworks to the SADC Quali
 fications Framework (SADCQF)\, and approaches to strengthening trust and c
 omparability of qualifications across the region.\n\nThe Executive Secreta
 ry of the Eswatini Qualifications Authority\, Mboni Dlamini\, chaired the 
 proceedings on Day 1\, contributing to discussions on strengthening region
 al cooperation and qualifications systems.\n\nAmong the key sessions were 
 presentations on country experiences in innovation and flexibility in RPL\
 , lessons emerging from African Continental Qualifications Framework (ACQF
 ) referencing processes\, and discussions on strengthening trust and compa
 rability within qualifications frameworks.\n\nStrengthening Regional Coope
 ration\n\nThe Forum provides an important platform for qualifications auth
 orities across SADC to share experiences\, exchange knowledge and identify
  regional priorities. It also supports strengthened collaboration towards 
 greater recognition\, transparency\, comparability and mobility of qualifi
 cations and skills across SADC Member States.\n\nEQA's participation refle
 cts Eswatini's continued commitment to regional and continental initiative
 s aimed at strengthening qualifications systems\, promoting mutual trust a
 nd recognition\, and supporting the mobility of qualifications and skills 
 across borders.\n\nThrough its participation in regional platforms such as
  the SADC Qualifications Authorities CEO Forum\, EQA continues to contribu
 te to efforts aimed at building robust\, responsive and trusted qualificat
 ions systems that support lifelong learning and the development of human c
 apital.
